INTRODUCTION TO LARRY BULLINGTON DEMONSTRATION ON CUTTING PIPE INSUALTION AND MIXING CEMENT
Larry Bullington, an insulator with Local 37 of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers, was a client diagnosed with malignant mesothelioma. We videotaped Larry's trial testimony while he was still able to do so. Mesothelioma is a cancer that invades and encases the lung, making breathing very difficult even after only minimal exertion. You will hear Larry having breathing difficulties in this video as he performed basic insulator tasks. As part of Larry's testimony, he demonstrated how insulators cut pipecovering and mixed insulating cement. These processes that insulators performed many times each day generated clouds of dust that formerly contained untold billions of asbestos fibers. This video shows how insulators and other workers on job sites were exposed to large amounts of asbestos.
